The Shenandoah River
We invite you to visit one of the world’s most beautiful locations in the Shenanodah Valley, the Shenandoah River. In 1984, Clarke County’s 22 miles of river were designated as the “Shenandoah State Scenic River,” a component of the Virginia Scenic Rivers Program to help preserve its natural beauty.
River Adventures at Watermelon Park
Watermelon Park offers full-service tubing on the scenic Shenandoah River. Buy your ticket on-line or in-person, board the school bus shuttle and lazily float back to the park. Floats will usually run 2-3 hours depending on the mood of the river. Tube rentals are $25 and cooler tubes rent for $12.50. Shuttle is included. Safe for all ages.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 10:00 am – 4:00pm. Closed on Tuesdays.
