Plants and Places Artist Reception
Plants and Places: Artwork from the Oak Spring Garden Foundation—on view at the Barns of Rose Hill from March 25 through April 25—showcases artwork by alumni of Oak Spring’s residency program, alongside reproductions of works held in the Oak Spring Library by contemporary French artist Sophie Grandval. Together, these works reflect the many ways artists engage with plants and landscapes as sources of inspiration, inquiry, and creative expression.
On March 27, we invite you to an Artist Reception celebrating this creative engagement with plants and landscapes. Peruse the exhibition, enjoy light refreshments, and learn how the Oak Spring Garden Foundation’s residency program inspires artists working at the intersection of art and the natural world. Afterwards, stay for a screening of “Fragments of Eden,” an intimate look inside the studio of distinguished French artist Sophie Grandval, beginning at 7:00 PM.
The reception and film are free to attend, but registration is encouraged. Register here, or by calling (540) 955-2004
