From a Spit Seed Poetry Reading
Join Wendell Hawken for a reading from her latest poetry collection, From a Spit Seed. Set on a farm in the northern Shenandoah Valley, her poems invite readers to marvel at the rural world through wry humor and a musical sensitivity to language.
Experience her work aloud, savor its rich imagery and sound, and reflect on the poetic lessons it offers about life, place, and the passage of time.
Doors open at 1:30 PM, and the program will begin at 2:00 PM. The reading is free to attend, but registration is encouraged. Register here.
