Flower Sketching Workshop at Long Branch

This workshop will encourage interested and budding artists to sketch plants directly from life, document their activities and learning process in a sketchbook or “Nature Journal.” Elena will share some of her own botanical journals and sketchbooks to show around and provide specific information on her process of sketching botanicals. After brief introduction and orientation talk, participants will be sketching directly in Long Branch’s gardens.

This free workshop is limited to 15 participants. Adults and mature teens only, no children. Participants are asked to bring their own sketching materials: graphite and/or colored pencils, watercolors, sketchbooks and/or paper, a portable chair, wide-brimmed hat, bug repellent and drinking water.
