Echoes of Brazil: Artist Reception at Barns of Rose Hill
A Beat of Color, A Pulse of Rhythm: Echoes of Brazil—on view at the Barns of Rose Hill from August 4 through September 19—features the work of multidisciplinary Portuguese artist Leonor Alvim Brazão, whose practice spans visual art, graphic design, and poetry.
Inspired by Leonor’s time immersed in Brazil’s rich musical culture, this exhibition brings together three series that transform musicians, urban landscapes, and personal memories into a vibrant visual language of color, movement, and form.
On August 8, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, join us for a first look at this new exhibition. Peruse the gallery, meet the artist, and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Register here.
Stay after the reception for a performance by CantoSur, a Latin jazz ensemble led by Argentine vocalist Cecilia Esquivel. Leonor will introduce the concert with an original poem, creating a unique connection between the exhibition and the music.
The Barns of Rose Hill’s galleries are sponsored by Dr. Heather H. Gibson.
