Cool Spring Battlefield Trails

Under the stewardship of the Shenandoah University, this retired golf course is now a wildlife preserve and protected land. The Cool Spring trails have plenty of wildlife to see as you mender along the beautiful Shenandoah River in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Open every day from dawn to dusk. Biking and walking trails are made up of mowed grass pathways and paved pathways ranging from 1/2 mile to 10 miles in the forest, open fields and along the river.  See yellow trails in the map below.

There is a pavilion with picnic tables and a large amount of parking.  Portable toilets only. Dog-friendly on a leash.  A No trace left behind policy, please clean-up after youself.
